The GW Climate and Health Institute (CHI) is pleased to host Climate and Health Connections, a series of interactive and engaging discussions on topics at the nexus of climate and health. This participatory January discussion will be hosted by Kelly Whittier and Rachel Clark of the Redstone Global Center, who will be providing a primer on the landscape of local politics in DC, including steps in the legislative process (from drafting through enactment) and the basics of the DC Council and Mayor's Office. Furthermore, this session is tailored to how members of the GW community can strategically advocate for climate and health policy in our own city and tips and tricks to navigate the legislative process, such as how to sign up to testify on legislation and how to read and look up bills under consideration. Lunch will be provided and registration is required. This event is in person and open to all GW Students, Faculty, and Staff.
