The Frontline of Climate Communication: How to Effectively Communicate the Impacts of Climate Change on Extreme Weather Events & Global Disasters

 

March 26 event

 

On March 26th, the GW Climate and Health Institute hosted WUSA9 Meteorologist, Kaitlyn McGrath, for a session on climate change communication. This hybrid event included a presentation followed by a 'fireside chat' and Q&A session moderated by CHI member and Assistant Research Professor of Environmental and Occupational Health (GWSPH), Dr. Daniel Goldberg. Fall Climate + Health Career Panel

The GW Climate and Health Institute (CHI) is pleased to host a participatory panel discussion that highlights individuals with careers in the climate and health space. This panel will feature Danny Malashock, Environmental Health Scientist at the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and member of the US Public Service Commissioned Corps, and Mark Shimamoto, Vice President of Global Outreach and Partnerships at the American Geophysical Union (AGU). This hybrid event will take place on October 18, 2023 at 12 PM EST: In person at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, 4th Floor Conference Room, or if attending via Zoom, the link will be provided upon registration. For those in person, lunch will be provided. Registration is required and this event is open to all GW Students, Faculty, Staff, and Alumni. Register here!
