CHI Co-Director Dr. Neelu Tummala, Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences, was quoted in a Heatmap article entitled 'Doctors Are Quietly Teaching Americans About Climate Change.' This piece highlights how advocacy, policy, and training are integral to patient care, and further focuses on the importance of not only training future generations but the existing healthcare workforce. “Climate change is a huge public health concern, and part of my role as a physician is to highlight awareness,” said Tummala.
